Horse-riding and trekking are available at two locations within twenty minutes drive.

Water-world "Slide and Splash" is situated near Lagoa (30 mins. drive).

There is a large picturesque reservoir nearby (15 mins. drive), set among the hills behind Silves, where there are water sports and a very scenic restaurant overlooking the water.

If you want` to travel a little further the mountainous region of Monchique to the west offers scenic views and plenty of restaurants and viewpoints.

Marine world is located along the coast road near the town of Guia (20 mins. drive).

Carvoeiro - located just outside Lagoa - is a popular little seaside holiday village and is well worth a visit being only just over half an hour away.

Albufeira is one of the main tourist regions in the Algarve. It is only twenty minutes drive away and offers two 'Hot Spots' for visitors, one being 'The Strip' and the other being 'The Square'. Many lovely beaches are to be found both to the east and west of Albufeira.

Supermarkets, cafes, restaurants and markets are to be found locally.
